We're delighted to welcome Zaid Ghodiwala, Evie Booth and Lynn Zvinoira as the newest Student Trustees on the Nottingham Trent Students' Union Board.

Our Trustee Board plays a vital role in guiding the direction of NTSU, overseeing how the organisation operates and ensuring the decisions we make are in the best interests of our students.

Student Trustees bring valuable perspectives to these discussions, combining their own experiences of university life with a commitment to helping NTSU deliver the best possible experience for its members.

Meet our new Student Trustees

Zaid Ghodiwala

Zaid is a BSc (Hons) Computer Science student who brings a broad understanding of the student experience through his involvement in a range of roles across NTU.

As an international student, Enquiry Handling Assistant, Student Ambassador, Faith Ambassador and research assistant, he has worked with students from a wide variety of backgrounds and developed valuable insight into academic and support services.

With a strong interest in governance, strategic decision-making and organisational performance, Zaid is keen to bring an evidence-based perspective to the Board. He's particularly passionate about ensuring students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion, while helping NTSU make decisions that benefit the wider student community.

Evie Booth

Evie is studying for an LLM in Law Conversion and Bar Training and joins the Board with extensive experience in student leadership, representation and advocacy.

During her undergraduate studies at Loughborough University, she held several positions, including Course Representative, Student Mentor, Media and Marketing Secretary for a student society, and Activism and Advocacy Officer for the Disabled Student Network.

Evie is particularly interested in applying her legal studies to the practical responsibilities of charity governance. She brings a thoughtful and strategic approach, a willingness to provide constructive challenge, and a commitment to ensuring NTSU remains accountable, inclusive and focused on students.

Lynn Zvinoira

Lynn is currently studying for an MSc in Psychology and brings a unique perspective to the Board, having studied at NTU on three separate occasions.

Alongside her studies, Lynn has developed a career in the highly regulated medical devices sector, specialising in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. Her professional experience provides valuable expertise in compliance, risk management and organisational governance.

Combining this professional background with her long-standing experience of NTU, Lynn is keen to contribute to informed decision-making that supports NTSU's continued success and improves the experience of current and future students.

Looking ahead

With their combined experience in student representation, governance, inclusion and organisational leadership, Zaid, Evie and Lynn will bring valuable perspectives to the Board as we begin delivering our new 2026–2031 strategy.

Their contributions will help ensure NTSU continues to be a student-led organisation where every student feels heard, connected and supported.

We're looking forward to working with all three and seeing the contributions they'll make to NTSU's future.
