Please can we have a washing up liquid dispenser in the student kitchen on city campus as well as the handwash dispenser?

I love the Universitys sustainability initiatives including requiring the use of a reuseable cup in Global Lounge and incentivising the use of them in campus cafes. However, I dont think many students would put an unsealable cup that has previously had a hot drink in it into their bag without washing it up first. Washing it once with handwash on campus then again at home with food safe washing up liquid is a waste of water, energy for heating water and handwash. Yet that is what students who cycle or catch a bus home from university are currently required to do.

Students bringing their own food in a reuseable container and their own reuseable cutlery onto campus would decrease plastic waste from ready meals and disposable cutlery. If it was possible to wash up these reuseable items on campus immediately after using them, this would incentivise their use. It would make it easier to transport reuseable items home as theyd be clean. It would also make them easier to wash up as the food wouldn’t have as much chance to stick.

A student with a reuseable bottle in their bag that they had forgotten to wash at home for a few days would be more likely to refill their bottle on campus rather than buy a drink in single-use packaging if they could wash their bottle on campus before using it again.

It would also improve the cleanliness of the student kitchen if there wasnt always so much crockery waiting to be washed up in it. This would likely be achieved by giving kitchen users the ability to wash up themselves.
