When you join NTU, you’ll also become a member of Nottingham Trent Students’ Union.
We’re here to help you make the most of student life and, throughout your time at NTU, we’ll work to help you feel heard, connected and supported.
That’s at the heart of everything we do. We want every student to have a voice in the decisions that affect them, find people and communities where they feel they belong, and know where to turn when they need support.
We focus our work around three things: Advocacy, Belonging and Care. In practice, that means making sure your voice is heard, creating opportunities to meet people and feel part of the NTU community, and providing independent advice and support when you need it.
You’ll get to know us properly once you arrive, through everything from societies, events and student communities to representation and independent advice. Ultimately, we want your time at NTU to leave you feeling confident, capable, connected and ready for your future.

Your Trent Freshers Starts Here
Trent Freshers runs from 11–20 September, with 10 days of events designed to help you meet people, settle into student life and start making Nottingham feel like home.
There are 30+ events to choose from across Nottingham and our campuses, including huge club nights, games and activities, chilled socials, comedy, bingo and plenty more.
You don't have to do everything. Freshers is about building the experience that works for you.
Get Your Official Trent Freshers Pass
If you're ready to start planning your first week at Trent, the Official Trent Freshers Pass is the best way to do it.
Your pass gives you access to the official NTSU Freshers events and lets you choose which events you want to attend, so you can build your Freshers around the things you're actually interested in.
