An L.E.D.I. group is a group that allows international students to come together and speak about things that concern them as a student at NTU. Whether that be issues regarding academia, welfare or overall concerns regarding their student experience. These spaces will include a member of the executive team (VP Postgraduate) who will facilitate the meeting and take notes. Where issues such as welfare and opportunities arise, those relevant executive officers would be invited to ensure the student voices we hear are enhanced and taken to the relevant university committees.
The international student L.E.D.I groups are being proposed to be set up to ensure that international students are having their voice heard at the union. This also allows for international students to propose change and express concerns that isn’t within a university space.
The student union will facilitate these groups using their space (hybrid meetings will be available for those students who wish to attend online for whatever reason.) These meetings will be a round table discussion meeting.
