There are full and part-time positions available. Each of them is an opportunity to represent your fellow students, improve the university experience at NTU and develop skills and experience for your CV. All roles are for academic year 2021-22. Successful candidates will take office in July 2021.
The Executive Team are trustees of the Students’ Union who work full-time to represent you on everything from your academic experience to your welfare. These are full-time, paid positions for students who are graduating this year, or want to take a year out from their studies.
Our part-time positions are an opportunity to represent your fellow students alongside your studies. The roles are voluntary but are great opportunities to develop your CV.
NTSU’s Brackenhurst Officer is a member of the Executive Officer Team and a trustee of the Students’ Union. They work alongside the rest of the officers to represent the voices of students at Brackenhurst Campus.

Our Mansfield Officer represents the students studying at Mansfield Campus, helping to ensure their time at Nottingham Trent is the best it can be.

NTSU’s Confetti Officer is a representative for Confetti Students. Just like the Brack and Mansfield Officers, it’s their job to listen to the views of the students on their campus and help to make positive changes on their behalf.

Our E&D Network Chairs and Vice-Chairs help to run our Equality and Diversity Networks, ensuring that their members get access to the support and opportunities they need to make the most out of their time at NTU.
School Officers represent the students in their Academic School. They work alongside the Students’ Union and University to make important changes to students’ education.
*Postgraduate School Officer roles will be elected in October 2021 as the majority of PGT students are on 1-year courses.
You can nominate yourself at www.trentstudents.org/nominate once nominations open at midday on Monday 15th February. You’ll need to choose the position you want to apply for, explain why you think you’d be a good fit for the role, and upload a suitable photo of yourself.
Nominations close at midday on Friday 26th February. We will not accept nominations after the deadline, so don’t miss it.
Voting will take place between Friday 12th – Friday 19th March via our app.
Candidates will take part in Q&A sessions before voting week to help their fellow students decide who to vote for. The dates, times and formats of these sessions will be announced as soon as possible in line with government guidelines.
The election results will be calculated via the alternative transferable voting system and announced live at our Elections Results Party on 19th March. Further details to follow.
