Got an idea about how you could improve your University, NTSU or your local Nottingham community? Our Big Ideas scheme is the best way to get your idea noticed. All you have to do is submit your idea, receive 50 likes, and NTSU will be in touch to support you on how best to make your idea a reality.
An effective Big Idea should explain these 3 things:
· What do you want to achieve?
· How does it impact your University Experience?
· How would you do it?
Once you have thought about these 3 things, you are ready to submit your Big Idea.
Once your Big Idea has been submitted, we will be in touch to discuss how you would like to go forward with your Big Idea in 1 of 3 ways:
Union Action: This is for simple changes that NTSU can make without further consultation.
Action Committee: This is for student led campaigns. NTSU will support you to bring together like-minded students, and create a space for you to work collaboratively to make a change. This may include staff and logistical support and resources needed to make your idea happen.
Select Committee: This is for changes that requires the involvement of some non-student decision makers, whether that be University or NTSU staff or local community organisations. We will support you to bring together students impacted by the issue you have raised, and arrange the opportunity for you to challenge, question and collaborate with the relevant decision-makers to find a solution. All we ask is that you pull together evidence and opinions which support your cause.
This is your opportunity to have a serious impact on your student life, and NTSU will be here to support you every step of the way.
