Gill Street North Laundry - contactless payment

Headshot of NTSU's Vice-President Community & Welfare, Zoë MallettUPP currently intend to implement this across Peverell, New Hall, Hampden, GSN (not the laundry in the porter cabin though) but it is currently on hold as to the necessary company is not attending anything other than emergencies until COVID has settled a little more.

At the moment the laundry at Gill Street North requires you to use coins in exact change.

Please could it be looked into that an option to pay by card or via the UPP app be introduced to the laundry to save residents time as at the moment students are required to go to an ATM get out £10 minimum (for a service which costs £2 washing, £1 drying) and go to the library to change the note to coins. Then return to the accomodation to finally do the washing.

 

By having cashless payment options it saves students time which can be used on work.
