Book your discounted ticket and experience this powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs. Based on the novel by Michael Morpurpo, adapted by Nick Stafford,  and brought to life by Handspring Puppet company.

Synopsis
At the outbreak of World War One, Joey, young Albert’s beloved horse, is sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France. He’s soon caught up in enemy fire, and fate takes him on an extraordinary journey, serving on both sides before finding himself alone in No Man’s Land. Albert, who remained on his parents’ Devon farm, cannot forget Joey. Though still not old enough to enlist, he embarks on a treacherous mission to find Joey and bring him home.

Advance booking is essential as we have limited tickets.

Timings

  • 6.30 pm meet at Newton reception, NTU City Campus
  • 6.45 pm leave promptly, and walk to the Royal Concert Hall (approximately 5 minutes)
  • 7.30 pm watch show

Tickets
This trip provides you with a discounted ticket (usually £47.50). Tickets are limited so please only book if you’re able to attend. Non-attendance may result in your access to future activities being restricted.

The TicketSource reference/confirmation that you will receive from NTU Arts is not your ticket for entry to the show. Theatre tickets will be issued on arrival at the venue.
