Description

A running community in Clifton open to people at all levels of running! From beginners to experienced runners, this is a low-commitment, 'come-when-you-can' community for runners to meet up, go for a run, and support/motivate each other.

What will we do?

  1. Run! 
  2. Hold 5k runs within the community; timed and recorded in a shared file online for every member to access. (Every few months)
  3. Hold fun running games such as frisbee, tag, modified dodgeball, capture the flag, etc. (Weekends; Weekly/Monthly)
  4. Interval training is provided to members interested, we can also take advantage of Nottingham's natural geography to do hill training and ladder drills for endurance.
  5. Host a monthly meeting as a team to discuss suggestions, new locations, notable achievements between members, and reflect on our individual running goals.
     

Where?

Runs would be off campus, with current locations* under consideration being: 

- Trail behind Clifton Campus (dependent on weather)
- Park by Trent Bridge
- Clifton Flower Park

*Open to suggestions by members
 

When?

This will start as a weekly occurrence, however frequency may increase depending on member feedback! 

Here are some possible times we may go on runs, depending on member's schedules:

Tuesday

  • 7:00 - 8:00AM
  • 2:00 - 3:00PM

Wednesday

  • 9:00 - 10:30AM
  • 2:00 - 3:00PM

Thursday

  • 7:00 - 8:00AM

Friday

  • 7:00 - 8:00AM
  • 2:00 - 4:30PM

Saturday

  • 10:00 - 11:30AM
  • 2:00 - 4:30PM

 

What would you need?

  • Running Shoes (Prepare for mud)
  • Waterbottle
  • Watch/Phone (Make sure you can run with it & keep time)
